SCOTSTOUN STADIUM

Scotstoun Stadium will be the new venue for the Glasgow Warriors rugby club from next season, having been its training venue for the last few years. The stadium was fully renovated in 2008 and now houses one of Glasgow’s biggest indoor sporting and leisure complexes. Opened in 1915, it has primarily been an athletics venue and is one of the official venues for the Commonwealth Games coming to Glasgow in 2014.

HOW TO GET TO SCOTSTOUN

Scotstoun Stadium is in the west of the city, a ten-minute bus journey from Glasgow city centre, with the nearest underground station (Partick) a ten-minute walk away. The stadium is also served by rail, with Scotstounhill Station right next door and Hyndland – with its direct rail link with Haymarket in Edinburgh –a 25-minute walk.

Scottish Rugby and its partners for the Glasgow 7s are committed to ensuring there is a sustainable travel plan in place and are exploring innovative and ambitious plans for transport around the event which will minimise disruption for local residents and get supporters to and from Scotstoun with ease. Further details on the travel scheme will be released in the New Year.
